What I liked

I was able to work with couples getting married to help plan their wedding from a venue aspect! I contributed a lot to their menu and bar selections, created payment plans, created floor plans and organization for the event with a day of wedding coordinator. I really enjoyed being able to help people feel less stressed when it comes to the wedding planning process and talking to people and getting new ideas and perspectives.

What I wish was different

I wish I could have stayed and finished out all the weddings I help planned, but I had to come back to school in August. It would have been nice to get an event recap or an idea of how the wedding went for the couple.

Advice

I would recommend being very patient with people, especially when it comes to financial decisions. Weddings are and can be very expensive! So the decisions that don't seem very complicated to make as an intern, but they are to the couple getting married since one decision can become very costly.
