“I really enjoy working with people and comforting them. When at Baystate Medical Center, I sit with some of the patients in the ER and talk to them. I feel that this eases their experience in the hospital environment and it gives me pleasure. I really enjoy the ongoing tasks that are given in the Emergence Department. Multitasking keeps me energetic and moving at all times. I love the environment a well as the patient advice and nurses that I work with. I will keep volunteering because I enjoy doing it, and it gives me a better sense of how patients feel and what could possibly help them feel better and improve their experience at any hospital. ”

“I volunteer in the pediatric unit. I have been there for almost 7 years and have loved every minute of it. I love working with the kids, keeping them company while their families are away and playing games to pass the time.”
