About Bethel United Methodist Church

BETHEL CHURCH NURSERY
Bethel UMC provides a nurturing and loving environment for newborn infants through children 5 years old while parents attend worship services, Sunday School, and other church related activities. Our Nursery is staffed by loving and caring workers who have a heart for children and want them to have a pleasant experience while in our care. A pager system is in place to communicate with parents on Sunday morning.

Our Nursery is available every Sunday from 8:30 am until 1:00pm and during select special services. The Nursery staff consists of a director and several very qualified college students. The director is CPR certified, and all staff have the appropriate credentials.

CHILDREN'S EDUCATION
Designed for children preschool age through 5th grade, Bethel UMC's children's program focus on helping young minds understand the teachings of Jesus. All classes utilize a Cokesbury curriculum which guides young ones to develop their faith through fellowship and knowledge of the Bible. Lessons are matched to your child's developmental level while arts and crafts, music, and hands-on activities are important tools used to teach the children as they grow in their spiritual journey.

Children's Church is offered during both the 9:00am and 11:15am service. After the service's opening hymn, children ages 3 through 7 are led to a nearby classroom to participate in their own worship service with hymns, scripture, Bible stories, and prayer.

“I loved being able to connect with the people around me. I didn't know anyone going into this experience and by the time I left Bethel UMC I had gained so many new friends that will last a very long time. The leadership skills that I learned and had to develop will definitely be useful in the future. ”
