What I liked

This was the first internship I had, so I wasn't sure what to expect, all I knew was that I have to learn everything I can in the span of 3 months. In the span of three months, I was given a task to update the GIS system for the city, work on the CAD drawings, and work on a bit of the land development sector. Amongst the tasks that I was given, I enjoyed working on updating the GIS system using old and new As-built drawings, google maps, or sometimes going on the field and inputting the data via the iPad.

What I wish was different

While updating the GIS system, I wasn't too sure about the assets that were being used. If I had known what they were and where they are supposed to go then I would have used them instead of putting others.

Advice

As mentioned that this was my first internship, so the advice I would give is to learn as much as you can because you never know what type of internship the next one will be. Also, try to interact with everyone over there since that is how you will make connections in the industry.
