The internship was applicable to what I would have done at CalPERS as an Investment Officer, and it offered a lot of opportunities for me to learn from more experienced interns, and Investment Officers.
What I wish was different
I wish this internship was paid as they required a 16hr minimum time commitment, and was located far from where I live.
Advice
Only apply if you are able to work without pay, have a means of transportation, and are not taking a lot of units. This internship taught me a lot about what CalPERS Investment Officers do, but it took out too much of my time without pay.
