Intructing student assistant
June - August 2019 • Northridge, CA
What I liked
There were a few schedules so that if one shift did not work for you, there were others to look at. They were very friendly and informative if you have any questions about what you were supposed to do in a situation or in general.
What I wish was different
It is always so fun to tutor students and so it makes sense that it is so short but i wish it was longer. Other than the length, there really is nothing that I could see to make any improvements.
Advice
It's always pays to be kind and patient. You don't know the personal lives of the students and being understanding has helped many of those that I have helped. Some were confused and getting very frustrated and to be able to show them that they knew the answers already and guide them through is one of the best parts of the job.
