Since it was right after the pandemic, we were short-staffed. So things could have been much easier and better if we had enough staff for the kids.
Advice
Go with an open mind, if you are pushing yourself to get out of your comfort zone, don't give up easily.

What I liked
The treatment of staff. The other counselors were amazing. They really helped me even when they didn't need to. They made my summer amazing, the kids have fun but they allow the staff to also have tons of fun too.
What I wish was different
Nothing. They did everything right. Even the things I didn't expect to go well, went perfectly to plan.
Advice
I would say if you enjoy working with kids, this is the role for them. The staff treat you right, the other counselors are amazing and the kids while crazy at times, are a fun group to be with.

What I liked
I liked how there were tons of activities to do each day to do. The kids were great to work with and live with over the summer. There was a lot of counselor activities to do before the kids arrived and during times off.
What I wish was different
That I could have done more hands on work and gotten paid a little better.
Advice
It is a great place to enjoy and work over summer. It is a great place to have fun, work on self, and have an awesome experience with kids you'll never forget.
