Camp Wamp

About Camp Wamp

You’ll be amazed at all you can do as you have new and extraordinary experiences each day! We are just off Highway 8o in Soda Springs, California on a property named after the lake there, Deer Lake. The minute you arrive at Camp Wamp you are caught up in the excitement of all camp has to offer...and you soon understand why so many call Camp Wamp "home" and themselves "Wampers" long after they have aged out of camp! Camp Wamp's location is only 45 minutes West of Reno, NV, and 90 minutes from Sacramento! Recognized as a premier camping experience for persons living with physical disabilities, our exciting programs are appreciated by both parents and campers!

Camp Wamp offers one-week camp sessions for campers with physical disabilities. Camp sessions are divided into the following categories: Ages 8-12, Ages 13-18. Stephen and Elizabeth Wampler are the owners and founders. They are joined by their Camp Director, Max Park and Ale Bureye as Assistant Director. Debbie Panelli is the Art Director.

At Camp Wamp children enjoy a sleep-away week of camping under the stars, and experience everything the outdoors has to offer. Campers enjoy a variety of outdoor activities including fishing, canoeing, cooking around the camp fire, hiking, making new friends, participating in survival challenges, rock climbing walls and much more.
