What I liked

I really liked being able to spend time getting to know the children that went to summer camp and teaching them about Jesus. We also played a lot of fun games, spent time swimming, had lunch and spent time getting into the word of God.

What I wish was different

I wish that I was able to spend more time with adventure camp, but it was really fun working in the other camps. I do wish that there was a little more break time, but it was a really good experience being able to be a big part of the children's lives.

Advice

I would say that if you're looking into this kind of ministry, I would spend some time volunteering for day care, or having some sort of experience before spending 7 weeks working at a summer camp. If you don't find anything positive from volunteering, then spending a whole week having the responsibility of watching over 6-10 kids might not be the best thing for you.
