What I liked

Residing in San Antonio was a wonderful opportunity for me to intern for a storied & prestigious investment management firm. I very much enjoyed my summer and specifically appreciate being directly immersed within the accounts payable team. Through my challenging & critical project work I was able to use accounting/finance principles taught in school to implement continuous improvement initiatives.

What I wish was different

I wish they stationed a higher number of interns at their San Antonio office.

Advice

Come in open minded and ready to learn quickly. It will be a busy & challenging summer, but the people are very open and collaborative.

Relaxed, collaborative environment, lots of useful and educational programming across all interns, exposure to an asset management firm

More proactive direction/feedback with my project, more exposure to production work

Advice

Capital was a great place to work with a uniquely collaborative environment that is hard to find in the financial/asset management industry, and the willingness of everybody to take time to talk with you is invaluable- schedule coffee chats, phone chats, etc. whenever possible.
