Carson College of Business Dean's Office

Associate of Buzz

May 2019 • Pullman, WA

What I liked

I really enjoyed working with my supervisor and the work culture.

What I wish was different

I wish I was able to get more responsibilities at the start. As an unpaid intern, my progress of responsibilities took a moment because people felt bad loading a lot of extra work on the unpaid intern.

Advice

Be as engaged as possible. Be the Swiss Army knife that can contribute to any team project. At the same time, it helps to have some strengths that you can contribute. All in all, the person that actively listens, asks questions, and makes themselves available are going to be the ones that see advancement most often.

Lead Videographer

September 2018 • Pullman, WA

What I liked

I like the flexibility and the experience that I have gained

What I wish was different

I wish I was compensated properly when the original lead videographer quit and I had to step up to his position. I saw no change in my salary when I had to take over.

Advice

You take what you get out of this experience so work hard and absorb all the information.
