I loved that I had the opportunity to serve as a mentor to the kids in my community while remaining physically active over the summer. Working at a community center gave me lots of connections and the chance to meet and learn from professionals in my city.
What I wish was different
I wish my summer job catered more to my future profession. Next summer, I looking forward to an internship in my career field.
Advice
One piece of advice I would share about this experience is always give back to the community that gave to you when given the chance.
