I liked that I was able to help my community and that it was in my city. It was rewarding to be a mentor for foster youth.
What I wish was different
I wish there was better communication from my Advocate Supervisor. The courts take a while to process paperwork and communicate with you, wished there were updates when something happened coming from the Social Worker or my Advocate Supervisor.
Advice
This can take a lot of stress or your time, but your making an impact on a foster youth's life even if they don't think so.
