I really enjoyed working with incoming first-year students as a Service Odyssey leader. It was very rewarding sharing my experience with them and answering their questions about the next four years. I also enjoyed learning about and working with various non-profits throughout Lake Norman and Charlotte through Service Odyssey and other projects. Additionally, it was nice having a partner (another intern) to work with on projects.
What I wish was different
Nothing--I really enjoyed the experience and liked my supervisors and coworkers!
Advice
I would encourage future interns to build a strong relationship with the other summer intern, as you will be working together every day on various projects. It is important to trust each other and know each other's strengths and weaknesses, especially when you are leading Service Odyssey.
