Reviews

Policy & Research Intern

September 2020 - January 2021 Washington, DC
“There was plenty of support for me in my work, especially as I learned how to take on new projects and interact with the tasks I was assigned. I worked remotely, so I was worried that I would struggle to connect. But there were weekly team meetings and weekly connections with my supervisor, among other things, which all made me feel free to ask questions and gave me all the support I needed to learn. There was also a wide variety of different tasks in my work, and I was able to enjoy this wide variety because of the aforementioned support. ”

Assistant Editor Intern

September 2020 - December 2020 Washington, DC
“This internship was the most formative, educational, and useful internship I’ve ever had. I had numerous hands-on opportunities to learn about public justice issues while I worked on articles and social media content, and I developed more real skills, both technical and professional, than I did in most of my past jobs. Public Justice 101 - a class for interns where we learned about the fundamentals of CPJ principles and beliefs - was also such a cool and educational experience. I had no idea how much there was to learn about public justice and how it impacts every area of public policy. More than anything, this internship showed me how much more there is to learn and how many opportunities there are to be involved in important causes.”
