I obtained hands-on experience with implementing sustainable agriculture practices in the community garden. I also assisted with an agriculture/culinary education class for high school students.

I wish more students from my university were involved!
Advice
What you put into anything you do, whether it be a paid internship or unpaid volunteer experience, determines what you "get out" of it. Don't be afraid to work hard and ask a lot of questions!
