The internship provides access to a large database of the campus's equipment activity logs, usage, and design, which has been an interesting learning experience.
What I wish was different
A lot of the work was self-guided, and I prefer more oversight. I also wish it had been a paid internship, as I feel that the inability to perform work that should be paid has held back my experience.
Advice
If you are going to do an more self-guided internship, take time out in the first couple of weeks to set up a timetable for getting your time in. Avoid the self-inflicted crunch.

What I liked
Working in athletics allowed me to develop many business skills such as verbal/written communication, time management, accountability, teamwork, and professionalism.
