What I liked

The people I worked with were so inspiring creatively for me and my mentor made me feel comfortable sharing my ideas and contributing. My whole experience was so robust and meaningful and I can't wait to start working there again after graduation.

What I wish was different

I wish I had been able to be in person! My internship was virtual; however, even over GoToMeeting, the entire Product Management Team made me feel so welcome. I really couldn't have asked for a better way to spend my summer.

Advice

Get involved as much as you can! The internship is what you make of it, so ask questions and absorb as much information as possible.

Talent and Culture Intern

What I liked

I really loved the company I worked at. It was a software company started within the past 15 years and was rapidly growing. The office space was open and innovative and they offered great perks to their employees. The people at the company were really engaging and friendly and I was able to learn a lot about the functions of the business.

What I wish was different

Sometimes I felt that I didn't have much to do. Some of the projects I was given felt very mundane and I felt like I did a lot of busy work.

Advice

My major has nothing to do with technology so I was a bit nervous about working at a software company. However, there were so many functions and positions that it was easy for a Business major to integrate in. I felt that this provides me with a lot of potential for my actual job search. It opens more companies to me and I am confident I can find a role.
