It was a very good learning experience. I learned the behind the scenes and administrative side of clinical trials. Additionally, I got to read a lot about medical devices and science that was being studied in real patients in the real world. I also had the experience of witnessing sponsor and CRO interactions and learned proper professional etiquette.
What I wish was different
Some days were a little slow, I wish I could've been given more to do on certain days.
Advice
Keep an open mind when applying to and working at internships. Make the most out of each day there; for instance my goal was to learn a few new things every day that I was there. Make connections with people and make sure to always have a positive attitude.
