I enjoyed the freedom and flexibility of my internship. I spent my time divided pretty evenly between being outdoors evaluating properties and in the office running numbers through excel.
What I wish was different
I am very interested in sales, and while I did enjoy doing sales in the landscape industry I found that the industry places the majority of the emphasis on price when awarding jobs. I would've liked more of an opportunity to distinguish myself as a good salesperson rather than an good estimator of price.
Advice
Ask questions while working, the more you know the more interesting it becomes and the more interested you are the better job you will do.
