How do I prepare for an interview for a Student Researcher position at Columbia University?

I looked at the websites of several professors at Columbia and I emailed those who I thought I'd like to work with. I was an undergraduate at Columbia studying physics and I only emailed physics professors. Those two points probably helped me out a lot in getting responses.
