The Confucius Institutes are educational programs dedicated to teaching Chinese, cultivating Chinese cultural awareness, and facilitating global education. Confucius Institutes help to develop cultural understanding and competencies necessary for the globalized world of the 21st Century. Based in Washington, D.C., the Confucius Institute U.S. Center supports joint efforts across the network of 110 Confucius Institutes and 534 Confucius Classrooms in the United States.
