Cox Enterprises

Finance and Accounting Systems Intern

What I liked

Cox Enterprises helps you develop as a young professional outside of your daily tasks during the internships. There are various events that allow for networking, personal brand development, and soft skill development.

What I wish was different

I wish I had taken advantage of more of the programs during my time on campus.

Advice

Try to meet as many people as possible even if there not in the field you're thinking of working in. You might come upon something that you didn't know you had an interest in.

Business Solutions Intern

May - August 2018 • Atlanta, GA

What I liked

I enjoyed the company culture and how they gave me real work experience. I was able to do multiple assignments in both technology and business.

What I wish was different

I wish there was more opportunity to receive a position in the company. Due to many employees staying for a long period of time there aren't many position openings. There is this thing called "Cox's nice" where people are very nice but it is hard to hear real constructive criticism because they don't want to hurt your feelings.

Advice

I would suggest that you try to meet as many people as possible and to make sure that you are always requesting for more work.
