"In my experiences with CrossRoad Engineers I have had the opportunity to see the more administrative tasks and the field work. Through both of these experiences I have been able to solidify my choice of my civil engineering major. I like the flexibility that comes with being a civil engineer, being out in the field but also being in the office. My supervisors allowed me many opportunities to see the several sides of the work that we do. I had experience surveying, doing site inspection and doing paperwork in the office. Along with these options, I was also working alongside people who assisted me whenever I had questions and challenged me to find answers for myself while also providing me all the resources they had for me to succeed. I have found great working relationships with everyone who I have interacted with at CrossRoad Engineers. They provide many chances for their interns to get integrated to their company through company run events such as company wide lunches, intern nights out with the company or an Indians game for clients and employees. In these experiences I have been able to truly see the heart of this company, they want their employees to succeed and have created a truly family atmosphere that I greatly appreciated. Overall, CrossRoad Engineers has assisted in my knowledge of the entire civil engineering field while also making me feel extremely welcomed. This is a challenging environment, but they prepare you for the 'real' world extremely well."

"During my internship with Crossroads Engineers I was able to learn about Civil Engineering in an environment that respected my work and effort. The experience I gained solidified my willingness to progress in my studies and allowed me to use my experiences to further understand the importance of what I was being taught in College."

“One of the things I really liked about CRE was the culture. It didn’t matter if you were an intern or a full-time employee, everyone was treated like family. Everyone was very easy to get along with and made it enjoyable to work for such a great company.”
- Brady Vaughan, Junior at Rose-Hulman
Working for CrossRoad the past two summers has been such an eye-opening experience. My first summer interning, only having one year of college under my belt, I was nervous starting out. But from day one, my supervisor and the countless number of employees I was lucky enough to meet were more than willing to answer any questions I had, and made me feel comfortable in the field. There is so much you learn in the field that you don't get sitting in the classroom, and my internship with CrossRoad has even taught me some helpful tools that put me a step ahead in future classes. By the end of the summer I don't want to leave, but CrossRoad gives me something to look forward to once I'm finished with the school year!
