Sales Excellence Elite Intern

June - July 2023 • Austin, TX

What I liked

I enjoyed learning about sales and cold calling because I was able to experience what full time SDRs do.

What I wish was different

I wish we had also learned about the different career options within the company.

Advice

I felt as if it was an opportunity that doesn't always come around and was definitely worth the time. I was able to learn a lot about a field I have no experience or background in and feel confident going into it full-time.

University Recruiting Intern

September 2022 - August 2023 • Kirkland, WA

What I liked

CrowdStrike is a company that is growing - it's a great place to be an early career professional at right now. Since my first internship with the company, I have seen teams double and triple in size. It's exciting and motivating to experience that growth while being an intern. The University Recruiting team is really passionate about making sure interns have a great experience. I always felt that I could ask the team for projects in areas I was passionate about and interested in. I always felt supported during my 2 internships with CrowdStrike. I was also pushed to grow and learn outside of my comfort zone which is important.

What I wish was different

Nothing - I loved my intern experience!

Advice

CrowdStrike has a wealth of resources and knowledge for early career professionals. Cybersecurity will only become more prevalent in time, so take advantage of learning about the product and the market. Even for non-technical interns, the skillset and knowledge you will take away from the experience is valuable.

Technical Editor

June - August 2021 • Arlington County, VA

What I liked

I loved my team and everybody I met at the company. They had an excellent internship program with several workshops/ guest speakers. The culture of the company was my favorite and I was truly inspired.

What I wish was different

n/a

Advice

I was worried I had to be doing work 8 hrs a day from the get-go, but training takes time and no one expects you to know everything. Don't feel worried if you aren't worked to the bone, it's actually great seeing the work life balance in the work place (in comparison to being a student with no balance).

Falcon Complete Analyst Intern

May - October 2019 • Austin, TX

What I liked

Crowdstrike had a very vibrant and fast paced culture, and everybody was extremely helpful to help me understand the content that I was responsible for within my position. I had great mentorship, and created wonderful memories. They help you not only meet expectations, but excel within your position and industry. I learned about malware, incident response, and cybersecurity hygiene within the corporate business setting.

What I wish was different

None, I loved every second of it.

Advice

I would definitely recommend that you ask questions. My coworkers had no problems answering my billion different inquiries, but you never learn and grow if you do not ask. They do not expect you to learn everything, because as long as you have motivation and passion, you will succeed in this position!
