Established in 1956, Crystal Mountain is a family-owned, four-season resort recognized nationally as one of the Midwest’s premier destinations. Located 28 miles southwest of Traverse City, Crystal Mountain offers perfect skiing conditions in the winter and a spectacular summer season around the Great Lakes. We focus our efforts on creating a family, environment and health & fitness friendly community of guests and employees.
During the Winter Season, Crystal Mountain is the main attraction in the area for skiers and snowboarders, featuring 58 downhill trails, 25km cross country skiing trails, and other winter activities like fat tire biking, or snowshoeing through Michigan Legacy Art Park. If you are a lover of winter sports Crystal Mountain is definitely the place for you and if not, we have award winning snow sports instructors, who would be more than happy to teach you the basics or new tricks. We have great summer fun as well, from outdoor events like the Beer & Brat’s Festival, Total Archery Challenge, and Michigan PGA Women's Open Tournament to resort activities, like the Edge Adventure Course, award-winning Crystal Spa, and more.
