The flexibility. Most of the tasks aligned with what I would have had to do as a Club President anyway and I was able to schedule my own appointments with my supervisor on my own time. There were also plenty of resources readily available.
What I wish was different
The time. With having this internship during the school year I had to manage my time between tasks and sometimes I felt like I was not able to give it my all. Yet I still believe that along with the staff we all did a good job.
Advice
It is not something to take lightly. Sure most of the tasks align with what a club has to do to stay in good standing, but there is a lot of research and planning that goes into being a poltiical intern. You have to know what you are saying and have sources to back it up.
