The intern program was organized and included brown bag lunches with other departments. I felt as if I had purpose because I was always doing something. The office environment was amazing and the DLCC staff are very nice

Establish relationships with your fellow interns. I love the group of interns I work with and we've shared information with each other on other internship/job opportunities we've discovered

What I liked
I did campaign finance and this was an excellent opportunity to learn about how committees factor into campaigning. I met amazing people and the office had almost a start up feel.
What I wish was different
I wish I could have had a bit more observation of event planning rather than just doing the busy work.
Advice
Work hard and make sure if you a are in the summer to have a good relationship with your fellow interns.
