Mechanical Engineering Intern

May 2019 • Buffalo, NY

What I liked

The opportunity to take what I’ve learned and expand on it as well as apply it in real scenarios and product developments.

What I wish was different

I wish I could have stayed longer to see through some longer projects.

Advice

Don’t be afraid to collaborate or ask questions. It can be the difference between having to redo something you spend a lot of time on and completely a well done thought out project on time.

Engineering Co-op

May 2018 • Buffalo, NY

What I liked

I liked the ability to work in both the design but also the building and testing ends of engineering while I was on coop. It really broadened my horizons on the full scope of work that goes into the design of a product.

What I wish was different

I wish to have a little more calculation based projects to sharpen the skills I learned.

Advice

Don’t be afraid to ask what’s next or for your next project because you’ll learn more and get more done when you apply yourself further.

What I liked

The company atmosphere was really nice and supportive.

What I wish was different

I wish their parking policy wasn’t sexists. The close part of the parking lot was designed for women.

Advice

Go on coop as soon as possible.
