Advice
One thing I'd like to say is do your homework about the company you work for and come up with suggestions and a plan for how to improve your role. Don't wait to be asked to share a skill you have, but share your ideas with your employer on what you can do to go above and beyond in your role. For example, if you have a camera (or even a phone) and you would like to photograph or report an event that people on social media are interested in, ask your employer. It can seem to them that you are not only willing to do the work assigned to you, but you are looking for opportunities to provide for the company and serve their audience.
