What I liked
I learned a lot about the local environment and it was really fun! We got to help lead field trips and campfire programs, all while talking about what I love and forming a sense of community at the same time.

Interpretive Student Aid

What I liked
I enjoyed learning how to talk to the public about scientific topics as well as being able to become a certified Interpretive Guide with the National Association for Interpretation.
What I wish was different
I wish we had been allowed to roam the park by ourselves so that we can encourage members of the public to come to the visitor center.
Advice
If you really put a lot of effort into this job it is very rewarding. If you do the minimum it is very boring and unfulfilling.

Learning about the smaller park systems and how they operate. I want to use my Bachelors degree in RHPM to work as a Park Ranger in the future.
