It's a great way to work on communication skills and, if education is your major, a great way to get a feel for the classroom.

What I liked
I enjoyed meeting prospective students and their families . I also enjoyed growing closer in relationship with my co workers and listening to podcasts while doing data entry.
What I wish was different
I wish there were not as many tours during the week because it was very hot and exhausting walking around campus.
Advice
Make the best of every opportunity. Even work that seems monotonous like data entry plays a significant role in the process of admitting students to the university.

What I liked
The faculty and staff that I was working under were very kind and helpful.
What I wish was different
I wish that there was a clearer definition of what we were supposed to do at the job. I also wish that there had been a better planning for projects we were working on.
Advice
Know that this job will have you doing everything and anything. Some days will be very slow where as other days you will have people coming in and out of the building comstantly. If you are interested go for it, but know you are going to be doing a variety of jobs.
