What I liked

Everything. The campaign was incredibly organized and well thought out, and the staff was incredibly supportive. There was an emphasis on creating an environment in which we could develop professionally while also creating a community within our teams.

What I wish was different

Nothing. I genuinely loved the fellowship.

Advice

Take advantage of all the extra professional development opportunities offered in the fellowship. Mass politics is a family game- CMs tend to hire people they've worked with in the past. Make connections.

Summer Intern with Markey Field Team and Markey Design Team

What I liked

I had the opportunity to work on a diverse team of creative, friendly, and passionate professionals. On this team, I was given opportunities to earn more responsibility these opportunities included developing region-wide training materials, leading volunteer training, developing social media posts, and designing official campaign merchandise.

What I wish was different

This internship was remote, and I wish I had the chance to complete it in person.

"It is important to never underestimate what a small group of devoted citizens can accomplish."

What I liked

The opportunity to work for a candidate and cause that I was passionate about. I also enjoyed being able to get experience in political organizing.

What I wish was different

I wish there had been some more variety in the tasks that I was assigned throughout my time. It could get monotonous at times.
