What I liked

It was a rewarding experience to work with my supervisor, Jeff Camp, and other externs to update lessons in the Ed100 curriculum. Jeff created a collaborative and enthusiastic atmosphere where I had opportunities to meet other people involved in Ed100.org and California’s education system, improve my research and data compilation skills, and learn to use search engine optimization tools!

What I liked

I loved working at Ed100 and would highly recommend the externship. I developed my writing, research, and editing skills in invaluable ways, and had the opportunity to undertake projects that I was personally invested in. It was a wonderful balance of independent work and collaboration - I especially appreciated working directly with Ed100 founder Jeff Camp, as he provided guidance and support that really helped me grow and thrive in this organization. Lastly, I loved being able to contribute to work that was meaningful and directly impactful.

What I liked

I was originally hesitant about participating in an online externship because I thought it would an isolating and lonely experience. That was the opposite of the truth at Ed100.org. My supervisor, Jeff Camp, ensured that all the externs had a positive experience. We participated in daily team meetings, reviewed one another's work, and even got to meet with people from outside the organization. Jeff gave us the opportunity to learn new skills that would help us in other roles and pushed us to work as hard as we could.
