Marketing Intern

What I liked

First and foremost, the people. The employees at EDSI and the other interns I worked with made for a fantastic summer experience. They were exceptionally welcoming, genuine, kind, and helpful. The culture was something I looked forward to every day. I also really loved the array of marketing exposure I received. I was able to see the backbone of marketing, assisting in meetings and projects, as well as see how it impacts the public audience.

What I wish was different

I wish I had gotten more out-of-office experience. My supervisor traveled to a lot of conferences and meetings at other locations and I wish I would have been able to join more of those outings, to gain a greater perspective.

Advice

There is always work to be done in an office setting. However, as an intern, there isn't always work given to you, and a lot of sitting around tends to happen. I would advise interns to always actively seek work, regardless if it's in their field of study or not.
