It is a very self-directed role and they allow you to present your ideas and progress to shareholders bi-weekly. I learned more in this role than I have in many of my marketing classes. Very hands-on experience and they treated me as if I was an equal and not just an intern. I was able to implement my ideas from start to finish.
What I wish was different
I wish there was slightly more oversight. I really only talked directly with attorneys bi-weekly and although they were always there for questions, you are completely left to your own deadlines and tasks.
Think outside the box! Always be brainstorming new ideas that the firm could use in their marketing mix and be sure to show research and statistics when you present your ideas.
