It’s a great place to get direct care experience and not hard to move up in a short period of time.
What I wish was different
That management would take more accountability for mistakes

What I liked
I really felt that I learned a lot about rehabilitation and the mental health field from working at this center. I have gained uncomparable amounts of knowledge and experience in working with those suffering from the effects of TBIs and mental health issues.
What I wish was different
Patients were not always friendly and were occassionally violent, making it a somewhat hazardous place to work, but the experience I gained from working at this center made it worth it.
Advice
Even though the job and the patient may seem intimidating at first, give yourself some time to adjust, working in the mental health field is not for everyone, but even if it is something you enjoy it can take some getting used to.
