I enjoyed meeting a number of audio professionals and observing their sessions, absorbing as much information as possible so that I can improve my own recordings and mixes. The staff and clientele were all very respectful, and the environment was simultaneously relaxed and highly productive.
What I wish was different
I would have liked more hands-on time with equipment, and to be able to experiment with mic techniques and hardware more often.
Advice
There were always learning opportunities in a day at the internship, though they could be easily missed if you weren't paying attention. Talk to as many clients, staffers, guest engineers as possible and see what you can learn from them. You never know, that connection might turn into something else down the line!
