What I liked
EAA is an amazing organization and the employees are friendly and fun to work with. EAA's annual convention, AirVenture, is a 7-day event that attracts over 500,000 people. Employees are busy during the event, but are also encouraged to actually experience the event by looking at the planes, watching airshows, inviting friends and family, etc. It's seven days of constant running around, but it was also the most exciting seven days of the summer. I learned a lot about general aviation and even got to fly a plane, so the internship is an experience I will remember for a long time.
What I wish was different
My only complaint is that I wish I would have had more to do. AirVenture gave me some extra responsibilities during the two weeks leading up to and the week of the convention, but for most of the summer I had small responsibilities here and there but no real projects to call my own.
Advice
Learn as much as you can at any internship! People who are passionate about their jobs (like everyone was at EAA) will love to tell you about what they do.
