The group of people I got to intern alongside with and the ones who mentored/ poured in to me.
What I wish was different
I was a production arts intern and I wish I had gotten more time to work the equipment instead of building the equipment.
Advice
Step out of your comfort zone.

June - July 2019 • West Palm Beach, FL
What I liked
I liked almost everything about it! The people I met were AMAZING, and they were always willing to pour into and invest in me in hopes that I would grow as a Christian and as a leader. We were actively challenged, and they always showed belief in us to do what we needed to do.

Advice
LIVE IT TO THE FULLEST! Take every opportunity to love and serve others, to get out into the city, to experience new things with brothers and sisters in Christ, and to plug into leadership and mentors.

What I liked
The Pastor over me was incredibly supportive and kind. He really tried to help me get whatever job was set before me. He made me feel comfortable and part of his family. They allowed me to sit in on preaching meetings. This allowed me to firsthand see what it was like to prepare a sermon. That was probably my favorite part.
What I wish was different
I wish they could have given us more of what our jobs were. The description was so vague that sometimes it was hard to know what we could and could not do. We were encouraged to do things even if we didn't know if we could do it. However, when we were told no it just made you more hesitant to try again.
Advice
To really dig in. Do everything you can and enjoy the time you have with the people you are ministering to. I wish I had made more efforts to hang out with the people at family church when I had some free time.

Intern
June - August 2019 • West Palm Beach, FL
What I liked
I loved the entire experience. I was able to test my limits, and go outside of my comfort zone, while being in a caring environment.
What I wish was different
I wish that responsibility could have been shared equally, instead of certain interns holding the most responsibility.
Advice
Although the location may be close to the beach, the internship isn’t a paid vacation, so come ready to work.
