I have always had a huge passion for public policy and I believe the Family Research Council embodies the same values I do. I was blessed to learn about politics firsthand by interacting with people who are promoting conservative values. I had the opportunity to explore a new city while pursuing my dream of working in politics.

Devolopment intern
May - August 2019 • Washington, DC
What I liked
The environment at FRC is amazing, the people there really love the Lord, and the internship itself is really designed to give you great experience overall.
What I wish was different
I wish I would have had a little bit more to do, but that was more so because I finished projects before my supervisors had expected me to, so they did not have a new one prepared yet.
Advice
Learn everything you possibly can from the employees! They are all super knowledgeable about their field of work, and really helped me grow spiritually and professionally.

Intern for Development
May - August 2017 • Washington, DC
What I liked
Every employee was interested in helping the interns be part of the team and get the most out of the internship. There were many learning opportunities inside and outside of the organization. The people I worked with had a positive impact on my life.
What I wish was different
I would have liked to see the work of different departments within the organization.
Advice
Soak up every piece of wisdom you can gain from the people you work with and the opportunities you are given. Ask to do more things than what you are offered because you have a rare place to try things without incurring damage or frustration.
