I love working for a local company that treats me as family. The summer is a fun time to work here because you get to put a smile on a bunch of children faces. The work environment is very fast paced giving me good time management skills. As well as, how to work under pressure and achieve business goals.
What I wish was different
I wish I could have made a little bit more money. I do make 12.50 which is $5 more than minimum wage, but for the work I was doing, I think I deserved more.
Advice
Make sure to never get flustered when working in the food industry. You are going to run into problems, just focus and fix them as fast as you can.

What I liked
I loved being able to see my ideas being heard and applied to the business. As this is a family owned business they are always trying to improve and gain more loyalty from local customers.
What I wish was different
Advice
I would tell others who recieve this position to be able to wear many different hats as there is not enough accounting or marketing to keep you busy 9-5 so you help out in other ways on top of these responsibilities. Flexibility is needed.
