What I liked

I love the job that Father Joe's is doing to provide services for the homeless community. And the staff that i work are super cool.

What I wish was different

I honestly believe that the job they are doing is terrific especially in this pandemic.

Advice

I don't like to give advice. But I will say is the homeless community that Father Joe serves is very unique. Be prepared to be challenged in a good way.

What I liked

I enjoyed getting hands-on, applicable experience. I was able to access and handle legal documents for the first time and was also given the opportunity to get experience working with seasoned, successful attorneys. Additionally, I got a gist of what life might be like working at a non-profit. Summer before last, I interned in the Parliament of the United Kingdom, which exposed me to a totally different type of legal experience. It was nice and helpful for me to get a feel of what it might be like working in a different type of legal environment.

What I wish was different

I wish that this internship had a more official structure, but it was also helpful that it was so flexible because I was able to work with many different departments and complete a variety of tasks. The looseness of this internship enabled me to do a lot of different things that I might not have been able lest the position been more structured.
