Fire Door Solutions

Project Manager Intern

May - August 2018 • Stilwell, KS

What I liked

The company didn't treat me like an intern, they treated me like an employee. I was never looked down upon and I was always challenged with legitimate projects and tasks that had meaning and impact to the company. I was also allowed the opportunity to shadow different department for a few hours so that I was never stuck in one area.

What I wish was different

I wish the internship would have had a better beginning. This was the first year that Fire Door Solutions has operated an internship so it had a little bit of a slow start.

Advice

Go into an internship and work hard. Don't meet the status qua, pass it. Exceed expectations and you will create valuable connections and opportunities.
