What I liked

I love the social interaction at work, and making the customers happy! No one is unhappy to receive a shake or a burger. I love being at work and learning new skills. My favorite part has to be the customer service portion of my job, I love talking to the customers and even surprising them with my Spanish skills.

What I wish was different

I wish I had started sooner! I put off getting a job for far too long.

Advice

Working in food service will help you cultivate skills that you will use throughout your life. It can be character building at times, and people may treat you poorly. But other people will recognize your abilities and build you up. You'll meet all types of people and get to interact with people at work who you wouldn't usually interact with. You will make connections and learn valuable skills that you can use in all aspects of your life.
