FlightSafety International

Software Engineer Intern

May - August 2023 • St. Louis, MO

What I liked

The work was interesting and pretty flexible with work hours. Corporate-level intern programming was good too.

What I wish was different

Company culture - there's no HR department in the St. Louis location and definitely an older demographic.

Advice

Experience seemed to be largely team-dependent. St. Louis office was kind of dead due to many Other locations besides St. Louis seemed to be more lively too.

Software Engineering Intern

June - August 2017 • Broken Arrow, OK

What I liked

Very cool products delivered.

What I wish was different

It is a very quite working environment with very little employee interaction, i wish this would have been different and more employees talked more openly throughout the day. The company was very shady about the health of the company. Shortly after leaving there were a few involuntary separations due to a down fall in financials but during the monthly meetings leading up to those employees leaving it was being communicated by leadership that the health of the company was excellent.

Advice

Its is great and challenging work and looks great on a resume but I would not feel secure in my position if I worked there full time.
