I wish my superior saw the effort I put in and acknowledged the presence of division among employees.
Advice
Working for the park district was one of the best decisions I've ever made. I will admit many (not all) supervisors take a while to respond to emails and inquiries regarding hiring. Go to the job fair or ask in person about job opportunities!

Grounds Maintenance Worker

What I liked
I like working together as a team with others to complete tasks. We built a lot of communication skills and leadership skills through this. I also liked the environment I worked in.
What I wish was different
I wish that I had been paid more, but I understand that since this is an entry level job there is not much to do about that.
Advice
Make sure your voice is heard in the workplace. Everyone has a good idea to bring forth and deserves to be heard.
