What I liked
I had interned for the HSO for the two summers before this one, so I had an existing relationship with the other employees there. They were all wonderful to work with in the remote circumstances we found ourselves in, and I would love to get to return again some day soon! There aren't too many situations in which it's completely appropriate to have an impromptu trombone concert during staff meetings...
What I wish was different
Advice
Although the HSO is overall a music organization, they offer opportunities FAR beyond traditionally music- or performance-orientated fields. Whether it be arts management, non-profit management, economics, customer relations, marketing, or something else, there's something for everyone to do at the HSO!
