What I liked

I loved my supervisors and my team. They were all very helpful, responsive, and provided me with a lot of tips and tricks on how to navigate the industry.

What I wish was different

I wish I would have been able to work with my team in person but due to Covid-19 the internship was remote.

Advice

Ask questions! The internship requires you to be very detail oriented and asking questions rids you of small mistakes. The professional staff wants you to get to know the ins and outs of Hour and is eager to answer any questions you have regarding your tasks.

Be prepared to do a lot of relative work, but be thorough.

Advertising and Sales Intern

What I liked

I liked the amount of autonomy I was given, because I put in the effort to earned their trust. However, if you're not on top of your game, you will not receive such luxuries. Also there are many different internships offers at Hour, so everyone's experience will be different but everyone I interacted with was extremely nice and welcoming. Also, the atmosphere was very comfortable, majority of the staff are pretty young and the attire was casual.

What I wish was different

There is a lot of work on Excel, which I was informed about during the interview so it wasn't unexpected but, it was sometimes tedious.

Advice

Take advantage of the opportunities to shadow other departments during your time, they admire drive and told me, that's one of the most impressive behaviors.
