Labs Operations Intern

June 2021 • Holmdel Township, NJ

What I liked

The people, both full-time employees and other interns, were always willing to help and guide me in regards to projects, directions, career development, and any other ask. I was also given meaningful projects that contributed to the department I worked under, and was given agency to make these projects my own. I was never looked down upon for being an intern; I was challenged to learn and deliver on work that seemed out of my experience, and in turn was able to grow as a professional in this field.

Advice

Make an effort to reach out as many people as you can, whether that is other interns, executives, other full-time staff, etc. Everyone is willing to speak with you if you ask!

Advice

Don't be afraid to explore! If there's something you're interested in learning about, you can ask your manager and they will do their best to find something for you. For example, even though I was on the mobile team, I wanted to learn React, so my manager gave me a project that involved creating a React website for sending files to an app.
